Breakouts for Sep 20th: The first pick, ARBA, released news it was to increase staff in India. The stock has developed a nice base in the $7.20-9.20 range and today's move is the first indication of a potential intermediate trend reversal. Overhead resistance at $12.72 is the first challenge but I would look to the second resistance level as a sell target. Today's heavy volume should confirm support at $9.00, so tighter stops could be placed just below this price. MACD and slow stochastics are very strong, moving to new 6-month highs. The second pick, WITS, featured as a gold patron play on September 10th. Its technicals (MACD and On-balance-volume) continue to improve, although slow stochastics are overbought and in need of a "rest". The stock has broken all price resistance levels so psychological resistance of $20.00 becomes the next potential stalling point. Strong demand in September could facilitate stops closer to $15.19, improving the risk:reward of this trade. An analyst buy rating helped spark today's breakout. The third pick, UHCO, did not release related news to account for today's breakout. On-balance-volume and MACD have moved to new near term highs as prices ended at 52-week highs. There is no overhead resistance but a modest price target is set based on estimated point-n-figure price projections. Again, the risk:reward can be improved by placing stops closer to $12.00.
