Breakouts for Sep 15th: The first pick, CELL, closed above its 200-day/40-week moving average on higher volume, building the right-hand-side of a base from $30 52-week highs. The MACD tirgger line, and on-balance-volume, have broken upside from consolidation triangles - a further bullish sign. GTC orders closer to $15.00 provide a better risk:reward return, although the momentum strongly favors upside from here. The second pick, CYTR, edged over its 40-week moving average on higher volume, benefiting from some analyst coverage which set a price target of $5.23. However, in light of overhead resistance I would consider this too ambitious. Near term resistance sits at $1.77, but the next level of major resistance is at $3.00. MACD and on-balance-volume have breached important resistance levels. GTC buy orders down to support will improve the risk:reward of this stock. The third pick, ESMC, moved decisively over its 40-week average and is well on its way to forming the right-hand-side of a base. Again, GTC buy orders closer to support ($12.35) would improve the risk:reward and would be prudent given the extent of the recent move. Also tempering this is an after hours news release from the company stating no reason for the rally (a little negative hit tomorrow). Keep on the watch list.
