Breakouts for Oct 26th: The first pick, GERN, looks the best value at current prices of the stem cell stocks. I would question not taking some profits prior to the election been decided considering these are a democrat play, but even as a long term hold, there is still plenty of value to be had. On momentum this could challenge $13-14, but I have set a more conservative price target based on likely resistance. On-balance volume have broken to new highs, although the MACD remains below resistance. The second pick, KOOL, is a relatively illiquid stock that moves in volume steps. The stock has edged past resistance on one of these volume spikes, but I would use GTC buy orders around $5.21 and let them sit there until filled (it might take a few days for them to fill). The price objective is based on the depth of the base added to the 52-week high. There is no overhead resistance beyond $6.78. It has excellent technical strength with a MACD trigger line crossover well above the (bullish) zero line and on-balance-volume at new highs. The third pick, DJTC, is a high risk play based on the company's ability to restructure its debt. The stock closed inside the price vacuum of a huge gap down. Gaps suck prices because there is no prior trading to mark supply and demand. I would use a mix of a position taken off tomorrow's open and GTC buy orders down to $1.01 to take a full position in this stock. The stock is showing excellent technical strength.
