Breakouts for Oct 22nd: The first pick, ARMHY, has enjoyed some very heavy volume trading following a string of PRs, and some news analysis. Although there was a technical breakout to new 2-month highs yesterday, the stock had still to break a larger 5-month resistance line which it did so today. All three supporting technical indicators are strong, which favors further gains. The first consolidation is likely to occur around $5.50. GTC orders down to $5.15 could be used to add, or take, a position in this company. The second pick, DRIV, has the strongest IBD ratings of today's stocks. Today's big gains should not be chased off tomorrow's open with a full position, instead, GTC buy orders down to $32.60 should be used to add to a small position taken from tomorrow's open. The stock has no overhead resistance so the price target was based on the size of the current base. Strong earnings and some PR helped drive today's stock price. The third pick, GDTI, is a speculative base breakout. Recent buying has come on the absence of stock related news or upcoming events. The stock has excellent technical strength, with breakouts in the MACD trigger line and on-balance volume.
