Breakouts for Oct 12th: A quiet day for the markets produced little breakout action. The first pick, GBBK, broke a 4-week consolidation on higher volume. There was no stock related news to account for the break. There is no overhead resistance. Strong technicals confirm strength. GTC orders down to $30.65 should be good to add to a position taken off the open. The second pick, ENER, gapped up beyond resistance after a 5-week consolidation on a good day for fuel cell stocks. Technicals remain strong, and held up well through the sideways action. GTC orders down to $15.15 should be good to take advantage of weakness over the coming days. Perhaps the best pick here on price action. The third pick, MFLX, broke the highs of it's IPO price on rising volume. There is no overhead resistance, its short term target is $15.45, but there should be sufficient momentum to drive this towards $20 psychological resistance. Technicals have breached near term highs, confirming price strength. The company is PR light and there are no upcoming events which could drive the move, so play this on momentum. GTC buy orders down to $11.05 can be used for the patient and to reduce the level of risk.
