Breakouts for Nov 8th: The first pick, VRTX, is a current breakout feature for August 22nd. Current holders should note the raised stop and target price in what looks to be a pending breakout. All three technicals indicators have reaffirmed a bullish stance with the point-n-figure chart a couple of $s shy of a double top breakout ($26 will do the trick, which so happens to correspond to its bullish price target). Continue to play this for bullish momentum. The second pick, MFLX, originally featured for October 12th 2004 as the stock continues its rich rein of form. Shares of the company were up as it topped earnings expectations. Monday's gains were good enough to force an ascending triple top breakout on a currently exceeded price target of $33.50. I am looking for a test of psychological $50 resistance. The resistance break in the MACD trigger line ends the consolidation as a breakout in on-balance-volume confirms the comparable move in price. The third pick, RDCM, is a low price play which has enjoyed three solid days of buying. The company had reported earnings at the end of October which buyers have taken as positive. On-balance-volume has not surprsingly lept in support of price as the MACD trigger line and slow stochastics gather momentum. A move to $3.00 will trigger a double top breakout in a point-n-figure chart with an upside target of $4.25 - although resistance at $4.75 looks a more probable stalling point on the way up.
