Breakouts for November 5th: The first pick, ASTI, is a Subscriber pick for October 18th, but the last couple of weeks have seen a push to a new reaction closing high, providing another long side opportunity and a chance to raise the stop for the original position. Friday's push higher also came with a picture perfect MACD 'buy' trigger which occurred well above the bullish zero line. Bullish trend strength has maintained itself nicely [+DI; ADX > 20] as stochastics hold above the 80 mark in line with firm bullish momentum. The stock has benefited from sector strength attributed to rising oil prices. Friday triggered a bullish triangle breakout with a price target of $30.50. I am looking for a little more here - but it is a reasonable target. The second pick, HL, is a Subscriber pick for September 7th. The stock cleared a band of resistance between $9.38 and $9.64 with no increase in volume, but some improvement in technical strength - notably stochastics and bullish trend strength [+DI; ADX > 20 and rising]. The MACD trigger line and on-balance-volume are also in bullish territory. September 21st saw a double top breakout on the point-n-figure chart with a price target of $15.00. I am looking for a measured move target. The caveat for buyers will be earnings for November 8th. The third pick, is no candidate.

For those who prefer to set their own price targets the table opposite represents the frequency for a given % return (taken from maximum highs) assuming a fill at at the stated "Buy" price on the open (i.e. the prior days close). The return per trade from 5% risk is typical of what my subscribers can expect from their picks. The return per trade from 10% risk is what one can expect from my free stock picks. Returns will be higher on fills below my "Buy" price

96% of featured stocks turn a profit greater than or equal to break even, assuming a fill at the prior day's close. 91% of featured stocks return a profit of 1% or more assuming a fill at the prior's day close; 78% of picks return a profit of 2% or more. 92% of featured plays are completed within a 6-month time frame. Stocks which are still in play beyond 6-months are usually experiencing strong rallies. Returns will be higher on fills below my "Buy" price
