Breakouts for Nov 3rd The first pick DSGX broke upside into the May gap down zone on heavy volume. The stock is working through the bottom of its base from highs of $25 in 2001. The stock gained on news of a settlement and the appointment of a new CEO. The purple box marks an area for GTC buy orders. Look for confirmation in slow stochastics, and an upside break in the MACD trigger line. The second pick GTOP is building a potential cup-and-handle consolidation off $14.50 highs. The stock has still to work a handle, put a pullback on the test of $14.50 would be a good time to add to an existing position. It may also be useful to keep some GTC buy orders around $11.50 to catch any intraday weakness. The stock is showing excellent technical strength with breakouts in both MACD and on-balance-volume. There was no company specific news to account for today's buying. The third pick, PLA, closed over 20- and 50-week exponential moving averages. Today's action negated all of the August sell off. Record earnings were the catalyst for today's move. The large breakout gap (yellow circle) should act as support on any pullback - the stop is placed just below. Watch for a breakout in the MACD trigger line.
