Breakouts for Nov 23rd: The first pick, UNWR, featured as a breakout on June 3rd, and again as a Gold member play on Nov 4th. Gold members should note the rise in stop and target prices. Today's move featured a number of bullish characteristics, including; [1] a breakout gap on heavy volume [2] A point-n-figure triple top breakout over a resistance line, with a suggested price target of $7.50, [3] On-balance-volume at new highs, and [4] A bullish crossover in the MACD trigger line over the bullish zero line. The price target is drawn from an expected test of the next point of resistance. The second pick, NEOL, lept on heavy volume after reporting promising results for a phase I/II brain cancer drug trial, supported by an analyst upgrade. Today's big move should ease over the coming days, allowing for a better entry price. I have marked in purple the area for GTC buy orders. The 200-day MA at $11.99 should be a temporary stumbling block to the stock, although a double bottom looks to be in place here. The price target is based on a test of prior support following a big dive from c$22 earlier this year. Today's move is supported by strength in its technicals, including an earlier bullish crossover in the MACD trigger line. The third pick, ASIA, is a base breakout play. The stock marked a key reversal day in late July which led to a bullish ascending triangle that broke upside today on heavier volume. The price target is based on a projected target from the lows of the base. There was no company specific news to account for today's move. The stock has modest technical strength, the bullish crossover in the MACD trigger line with slow stochastics above the bullish mid-line favors longs, but the lack of direction in the technicals is not unusual for a triangle consolidation.
