Breakouts for Nov 16th: The first pick, SYMM, shows an very strong long term chart. The stock is breaking from a 6-week consolidation as part of a 11-month base, which sits inside a 3 year+ base (see point-n-figure charts). Given the proximity to support, and the heavy volume over the last three days, it looks an excellent buy at current prices (possibly one for the retirement account?). On balance volume is at new highs, the MACD trigger line has signaled a "buy" and slow stochastics have just entered overbought levels (and should remain there for the coming days). The company released earnings on Nov-8th. The second pick, DHB, broke to new price highs in conjunction with new near term highs in the MACD trigger line, but not on-balance volume. Last week's downgrade did not hurt the stock, indeed it holds strong overall ratings. The recent volume follows two buying spikes in late September. The price target is drawn from a projected base target. The third pick, INGP, is a base breakout play. From a daily perspective, the stock has broken major resistance at $5.36, but remains below long term resistance at $5.67 (see 40-week moving average). Today's breakout gap should hold as support on any retracement. The stock was upgraded in pre-market trading.
