Breakouts for June 20th: The first pick, DESC, featured as a gold member pick for June 10th. The stock's price closed Friday at new near term highs following Thursday's AGM. On-balance-volume remains very strong although the MACD trigger line has yet to reach new highs. The point-n-figure chart shows a double top breakout as of Friday with a projected target of $9.50. The next point of resistance from April 2004 lurks around $4.75. The second pick, HHS, featured as a gold member pick for January 7th and a breakout play for April 27th. I have kept the original target price but have raised the stop price from April 27th. The company had released a new web-based product on Tuesday, and filed an 8-K Friday with respect to Sloane Levy's appointment as VP. Friday's breakout was supported by a 'buy' signal on the MACD trigger line and a breakout to new highs in on-balance-volume. A triple top breakout from October 2003 continues to remain in play on the point-n-figure chart. The third pick, RTSX, featured as a breakout for April 5th before closing at new highs on Friday. The move was supported by a resistance break in the MACD trigger line (although a new bearish divergence may form unless there are new highs in this indicator) and a test of resistance in on-balance-volume. Slow stochastics are rising but not yet overbought, leaving some room for immediate price gains. A move to $26.00 will trigger a triple top breakout on the point-n-figure chart with a price target around $34.00. A solid 'A+' Investors Business Daily ranking should give heart to the fundamentally minded investor.
