Breakouts for July 24th : The first pick, VII, recently featured as a Subscriber pick for July 12th. The stock pushed a decent break of $13.46 on modest volume, but the reaction low created Friday is a good place to place a stop and raise the original one to this price level. I have maintained my initial price target as it added another "X" to the July 11th double top breakout (with a target of $24.50). Technicals continue to advance higher with no apparent weakness or negative divergence. There has been no company specific news since June 19th. The second pick, ALTI, announced a joint development and equipment purchase deal with AES corporation. The price appreciation triggered on the news could complete an 16-month base if it can end the week above $4.25 (which would also trigger a double top breakout on the point-n-figure chart). The point-n-figure chart is currently neutral for a price pattern but has an upside target of $7.25, but my lower target is derived from a projected move calculated from the depth of the current base. Technicals saw a fresh MACD trigger 'buy' and a new reaction high for on-balance-volume. Bullish trend strength is strongly in the ascendancy [+DI; ADX > 20]. The third pick, BRL, made a significant break of $54.91 resistance on heavy volume after news of a planned FDA review for a competitor's drug to treat breast cancer, in addition to strong earnings from Merck. The move registered as a spread triple top breakout on the point-n-figure chart with a price objective of $72.00 but the stock still has plenty of overhead supply to consume before it hits the rarified air of $71+. The move was supported by a bullish cross of the mid-line from intermediate stochastics [39,1], a breakout in on-balance-volume, and a sharp advance in bullish trend strength [+DI; ADX >20]. Patient buyers may still find fills in the $54-55 range.

For those who prefer to set their own price targets the table opposite represents the frequency for a given % return (taken from maximum highs) assuming a fill at at the stated "Buy" price on the open (i.e. the prior days close). The return per trade from 5% risk is typical of what my subscribers can expect from their picks. The return per trade from 10% risk is what one can expect from my free stock picks. Returns will be higher on fills below my "Buy" price
