Breakouts for Feb 7th : The first pick, TESOF, is a current feature from November 16th. Monday's action just about ranks as a breakout, although associated light volume is a concern if looking to add to a current position. Adding to the bearish picture is the now 5-month bearish divergence in the MACD and recent dip in slow stochastics. Bulls can take heart from the supporting breakout in on-balance-volume and continuation of the January 3rd ascending triple top breakout. Look for a measured move forward to $32. If looking to buy a fresh position I would wait for a break of the MACD bearish divergence. Current longs should note the new stop. The second pick, SCS, has been a consistent climber, with little in the way of consolidation since its December 5th Subscriber feature. The sell signals in on-balance-volume and MACD suggest Monday's breakout may be a little premature so I have raised the stop to protect the original position. The company hasn't been holding back on the PR releases, and with the 2.1% dividend yield there is something here for investors as well as traders. Key resistance lurks at $17. It is interesting to note the July 20th quadruple top breakout still holds with a price target of $26. The third pick, TSP, is another current Subscriber pick from November 7th. The stock sits just shy of its double top breakout target of $27, but there is little in the way of resistance to prevent this from rising further. Breakouts in the MACD, and on-balance-volume - combined with overbought slow stochastics, favor further gains. Yahoo.com! shows a 11.2% dividend yield which is unlikely to be sustainable if true and could produce some volatility at payout time. Ride the trend.
