Breakouts for Dec 9th: A thin set of candidates and I have tried to keep stops as tight as is reasonable under the circumstances to limit losses. Gold member picks are drawn from oversold stocks. The first pick, FLR, broke resistance following yesterday's conference presentation in New York. The stock broke a 2-week consolidation on heavy volume. The MACD trigger line similarly broke resistance as slow stochastics remain firmly overbought. The stock is only $0.50 cents shy of its point-n-figure target, so I have drawn the price target from the November "pole" projected upwards. The second pick, KFY, reported a fourfold increase in earnings to 21 cents a share, 2 cents over analyst estimates. There is an interesting pattern in the technicals, a flat MACD with sharply rising on-balance-volume, and overbought slow stochastics. The MACD will likely lead to a big reaction, which based on the bullish ascending triangle on the weekly picture, should be upwards. A good all round stock for current market conditions. The third pick, RSYS, has been relatively quiet on the PR front. Today's move came in the absence of stock related news, but remains below the next point of resistance at $19.00. GTC orders down to $16.10 should be used to add to a small position taken from the open to lessen the degree of risk. The price target is drawn from point-n-figure projections, but short term traders make look to sell at the test of the 52-week high at $24.85.
