Breakouts for Dec 7th: The first pick, EGHT, announced the availability of a VoIP phone last Thursday. There was no new news to account for today's breakout. Pullbacks to $4.10-$4.20 should be viewed as buying opportunities. A stop closer to $4.00 could be used by buyers with less risk tolerance, but for the purposes of my analysis I will use the broader stop price. Technical strength is good; on-balance-volume at new highs, and a MACD trigger line crossover and rally above the bullish zero line. The second pick, ACTT, is a low base breakout play. The stock is relatively illiquid (float 14.9M), so large positions are not recommended here. There has been no news released in December to account for recent accumulation (over 10% of the float). There should be sufficient momentum to take this into prior supply which starts at $2.50. Technicals support the long side of the market with new highs in each of the indicators I use. The third pick, IWOV, announced a new collaboration with XRoads Solution Group. Pullbacks to $10 should be viewed as buying opportunities. The MACD trigger line has remained firmly in the bullish corner with a crossover well above the bullish mid-line. On-balance-volume is close to a break of resistance, while slow stochastics are strongly overbought.
