Breakouts for Dec 3rd: The first pick, CPHD, appointed a new Senior VP of Operations. The news was considered a positive, helping the stock close at new near term highs. The stock has a strong weekly chart, with a bullish "W-bottom" as marked by $6.16 and $6.71 lows. The next point of resistance is $11.54 on the way to new 52-week highs ($13.56). Point-n-figure charts suggest a price target of $22.00, and a projected target from the consolidation pattern is $23.00. For the purposes of my analysis I am using the higher of the two values. The second pick, CYD, originally featured as a breakout on Nov 9th. The stock spent the next 4 weeks in a low volume consolidation before making the second breakout move. I have maintained the original price target, but stops should be raised to the new value. I have marked an area for GTC buy orders which may be filled over the coming days. The stock has a strong MACD trigger line; close to new highs, with a bullish "buy" crossover signal. Slow stochastics are overbought, implying strong upward momentum on rising on-balance-volume strength. The third pick, CRIS, should be watched in early morning trading for a break of $4.95 highs based on strength during after-hours trading. There are no guarantees of a strong open (there was no news to account for the move), but should this open strongly I would look to GTC orders down to $4.75 for fills. The most bullish aspect of the chart is the move of on-balance-volume to new highs. Today's move coincided with a close over the 200-day/40-week moving average on rising money flow. Today' s move should begin the right-hand-side of the base started from January.
