Breakouts for Aug 4th: The first pick, FLSH, had featured as a Gold Member pick for July 25th and December 6th. The stock finally managed to break the last point of resistance, turning $26.15 into support. The point-n-figure chart has a double top breakout from July 22nd marked with a price target of $30.00. Company PR has been light since its last analyst upgrade. Supporting Wednesday's breakout was new highs in on-balance-volume and the MACD trigger line. Play continued strength. The second pick, AEM, is a Canadian gold, silver, and copper mining stock. The stock benefited from strength in the gold miners, a number of which broke upside from recent consolidations. Its not all perfect as we have yet to see a confirmation from the MACD trigger line and on-balance-volume but this should come soon. The point-n-figure chart still holds a downward price target of $7.00 which will take a move to $15.50 to negate. GTC buy orders down to $13.06 should be good for fills but has value at Wednesday's closing price. The third pick, PAL, is another resource play which had a good day. The stocks' technical picture is slightly firmer than AEM with a breakout in on-balance-volume and new near term highs in slow stochastics. A move to $5.50 will trigger a double top breakout on the point-n-figure chart with overhead resistance at $9.50. I have set my price target below resistance as from the daily chart.
