Breakouts for Aug 20th: The first pick, TZOO, originally featured on August 17th and has begun a fresh breakout. The original price target remains, so the risk:reward based on the suggested stop is not great. In addition, the MACD trigger line remains in a bearish divergence, although on-balance-volume has moved to new highs. There was no news to account for today's big gains. The second pick, ELGX, is a thinly traded stock which has developed a strong 7-month base (see weekly chart). The stock has gained in the absence of company related news. Best played by buying small chunks over time, but this could be a strong leader in the next market rally. IBD ratings are poor, but it ranks a "B+" on accumulation/distribution - someone is buying. The third pick, JUPM, is in the latter stages of a rally started in 2002 from $1.40. Todays move broke a large bearish wedge to the upside (see weekly chart), so former resistance of this wedge should now act as support. A move back into the wedge sets up a bull trap and should be sold and/or shorted. A momemtum play at current prices. In the same sector as TZOO.
