Breakouts for Aug 19th: The first pick, CCBI, broke from a 4-week consolidation following the release of its company financials (earnings were released last week). On-balance volume moved to new highs, but the MACD trigger line sits just shy of resistance. A relatively low risk entry as there is no resistance past $24.00. The second pick, ENI, is building itself out of a base. The stock has traded within a tight range over the last 4 months and looks set to test the next level of resistance at $6.80. The stock rallied in the absence of company related news. The third pick, RRGB, begun the day by gapping down, but finished at new 52-week highs on heavy volume, completing a bullish engulfng pattern. The stock broke a 10-month base, leaving no overhead resistance. The initial price target is set from the difference of base lows and highs, added to the former 52-week high. Technical strength is good.
