Breakouts for Aug 15th: The first pick, LEAP, is a currently featured Gold Member play from July 25th. The stock continues to exhibit strong technical health with a sharply rising on-balance-volume trend and a fresh MACD trigger line resistance break. The company had posted a Q2 profit on Thursday. The point-n-figure chart still shows a breakout from July 20th. The two large white candlesticks hem in a slightly larger than life "Rising Three Methods" candlestick combination. My price target is drawn from a projected move. The second pick, SPNC, is a current Gold Member play from June 30th and is on the verge of an additional breakout. The ideal pivot price is $7.76 which can be used for GTC buy orders. The stock shows continued strong accumulation as marked by the rising on-balance-volume trend. The MACD trigger line 'sell' fits with a bullish consolidation and this should switch to a 'buy' signal on the break of $7.66 resistance. A push over $8.00 will leave this at new multi-year highs with a point-n-figure target of $15.25. The company had posted its 10Q last Tuesday. The third pick is AEIS, managed a modest breakout but remains hemmed in by larger resistance at $11.25. The company had announced on Friday a 10m share offer at $9.75 a share which helped bid up the price. The poor Investors Business Daily ranking makes this a better stock for the watch list to see what will happen at $11.25. If it can break this price it will have a free run to $16.00 resistance. A move to $11.00 would also trigger a double top breakout on the point-n-figure chart which holds a price target of $19.50.
